Our Impact

We incorporated as a Hong Kong based non-profit organisation limited by guarantee on February 1, 2016. (We are currently applying for Section 88 Tax Exemption Status with the IRD in Hong Kong.)  We started with one person (our co-founder Hersha Chellaram) offering free classes to as many organisations she could possibly serve. She realised that as one person she could not do it all, nor only offer her time for free, so she and her husband founded YAMA Foundation. Together they brought together a community of teachers with the right qualifications to work with special communities.

OUR fundraising target for 2018-2019

This helps to provide yoga supplies, pay qualified teachers, provide transportation and class subsidies and other related expenses to ensure that our programs are safe and accessible. Our fundraising target will allow us to double the number of programs we offer to Hong Kong's communities.
